Elsecar Hoyland and District Chrysanthemum Society was founded in 1945
We run three shows a year and we participate in the 'Garden Lover's Weekend' held at the Heritage Centre in June.

At Easter we have the Daffodil Show .

September sees our 'early' Chrysanthemum and Dahlia show which also includes typical 'village show' classes ie vegetables (carrots, onions, potatoes) etc.

In November we have the 'late' show for Chrysanthemums plus cookery, crafts as well as children's classes.

Among our members we boast some National Champion Chrysanthemum and Dahlia Growers.
We are members of the National Daffodil Society, the National Vegetable Society, the National Dahlia Society , the National Chrysanthemum Society (NCS) as well as the Royal Horticultural Society .
Our Chairman, Terry Wombell and members Eric Barraclough and John Brooks are on the Committee for the Northern Group of the NCS
